How to Convert MPEG, AVI, MPG and WMV Files to an iPod Video

Have video files on your computer and want to transfer them to your iPod? It is easy and free. Follow these tips and you’ll have all your video files on your iPod to enjoy whenever you want to watch them.

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Software. Go to “Jodix.com” and click the link “Free iPod Video Converter” under the heading on the left hand part of the screen. It is under the heading “All Freeware."
Step2
Download. Click “Please download and install it for free” below the picture. A pop up with emerge; click “Save File." Once it is downloaded click “Open” at which time a box where to pick “Select Language." Chose your language and press “OK” then “Next” then “I Agree” followed by “Next” and “Next” again and again until you get to the option “Install." Click this and proceed. Eventually the final option of “Finish” will come up. Click this and you are ready to begin.
Step3
Getting going. An icon should now be on your desktop. It will be labeled “Jodix Free iPod Video Converter." Double click this to open it.
Step4
Conversion. Hang in there, you’re almost there. An orange bordered box should be open. Click “Add File” on the right hand column. You now can browse your files. Find any video file you want to be on your iPod and click it and then click “Open." The file name will appear in the box. Click the check box next to the file and then click “Convert” on the right hand column. Another pop up will come up and show the progress of the conversion.
Step5
Transfer. Once the file is fully converted an option will come up. Click “Yes." This will show you where the converted file is. It should be next to the original file. Now all you have to do is open your iTunes and drag the new file in. It will transfer quickly and then you can watch it on your iPod whenever you want.
