Things You'll Need:
- candles
- flowers
- the girl/ or guy
- the ring
- some friends to help set up
-
Step 1
Get with your friends early on before the date of the proposal and sit down and tell them what you want to do, and what you will need to do it, assign tasks to help you, cause trust me you will be nervous enough.
-
Step 2
Have friends complete their tasks you have delegated to them. By this point you should already have asked her father for permission, not all guys do, but believe me this will score points with the man of the house..
-
Step 3
The night of the engagement, you will be nervous, probably sweating through your shirt, this is normal, you are not having a heart attack. Make sure that you have everything you need, and everything is in order for the big night.
-
Step 4
What I did was set up a little over one hundred candles all around the room it was going to take place in, and had them lit. Then I held a nice bouquet of flowers. I had a friend bring her to me.
-
Step 5
It is always nice to have what you want to say memorized. It is ok if you stutter a little bit, it is an exciting time for both of you. Try to have it all memorized though, dont read it off a card or something silly like that, then when getting ready to actually propose marriage and present her with the ring, make sure to get down on one knee, this is important and imperative, as it is tradition, and woman love a guy willing enough to do this for them. Give her the ring, dont be afraid if she is crying, she is more than likely not upset, but those are tears of joy, and happiness. Make sure to put the ring on her finger, dont let her do it, this is another job for you. Then after she says "yes" a hug and a kiss will do nicely....
