Kiniesiology, or muscle testing, is a way of testing your body to see what it does or does not need. It uses muscle strength to show a strong (positive) or weak response (negative). This is one that some alternative practitioners use to test the needs of their clients. It is noninvasive and it allows the body to answer for itself. Read on to learn more.

How to Do Applied Kinesiology

Step1
The first thing you need to do is determine which side is your dominant side. If you are right handed, it will usually be your right side. There are cases where it's not. It really doesn't influence the outcome, but the dominant side is tends to be more accurate.
Step2
Stand face to face with your friend. Place your arms at your side and relax. Take a few deep breaths. As an example, we will use an herbal supplement to test for.
Step3
Place the supplement in a tissue or cup and hold the cup close to your chest. Outstretch your dominant arm. Have your friend place their hand gently on your wrist.
Step4
You or your friend can ask if your body needs that particular supplement. After you ask the question, have your friend firmly push down on your arm. While they push, you should be trying to resist their force. Your friend should not push down overly hard and you should not resist so much that you hurt yourself. If your arm stays strong, the supplement is needed. If it goes weak, it is not needed.
Step5
If your body tests positive, you can then test for the amount. You can test for one, two, three and up. Always perform the test twice for accuracy. Once you have tested for the number of capsules. Test to see if it's best to take them once or twice a day. Say you test positive for four capsules a day. You should test again to see if they should be taken two or more times a day.
