Your honeymoon isn't just any vacation, so searching for the perfect bed and breakfast for your honeymoon isn't just any travel search! Whether you're looking for the ultimate in spa pampering, or a true isolated romantic getaway, you can find the ideal, romantic bed and breakfast for your perfect, romantic honeymoon.

From Quick Guide: Bed & Breakfasts
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First, you probably already have an idea of the location for your dream honeymoon. A local Chamber of Commerce or Convention Center should be able to tell you if there are bed and breakfast inns in your honeymoon location. Once you narrow down your choices, there are several things to consider when you look for a bed and breakfast for your honeymoon.

  2. Step 2

What are you looking for in a bed and breakfast? Are you looking for an idyllic retreat that will make your honeymoon memorable and intensely romantic? Then you should look for a bed and breakfast off the beaten path that offers privacy and lots of rest and relaxation as part of the package. If you're looking for more action and excitement, consider a bed and breakfast centrally located so you're just steps away from restaurants, activities, and events. Most larger cities and towns offer bed and breakfasts in both categories, you just have to decide what you're looking for and search for it.

  3. Step 3

Decide what amenities you want, and what you can't live without. If you need to be connected, choose a bed and breakfast with phones, televisions, Internet access, and a variety of activities and amenities, like spa service, transportation, and in-room meals. If you're looking to get away from the world, many bed and breakfasts offer no TV, phone, or DVD players, so you can really relax without the distractions of the "real" world.

  4. Step 4

What type of rooms and suites does the bed and breakfast offer? For your honeymoon, you may want a large suite of rooms with your own bath and privacy from other guests. Does your bed and breakfast offer baths in every room? Do they have private rooms like cabins or cottages where you can really get away from it all? Discuss the rooms and their sizes and locations when you call the inn to ask about pricing.

  5. Step 5

Before you make your reservations, ask about specials or off-season discounts. Some inns offer discounts for longer stays, as well, so it pays to mention you're celebrating your honeymoon and see if they offer any special honeymoon packages or discounts. Ask them to recommend restaurants and activities in the area, too. Most bed and breakfast hosts keep up-to-date on the best places to see in their area, and some will make dinner reservations and offer other services to make your stay even more delightful.
