    Downunder is frankly named such because it is located in the basement. Located in the heart of the city, this has become a popular hangout for many young people. It features not only bowling, but also a video arcade, foosball table, billiards table and refreshments. They also post the highest scores of their customers, encouraging competition.

  2. Step 2

    Mayajaal, located on the East Coast Road, outside of Chennai is an entertainment multiplex. Bowling is just one of the many entertainment choices they offer. Although about a thirty minute drive out of the city, and trip through the tollbooth (Rs. 45 roundtrip), a trip to Mayajaal is worth it.

  3. Step 3

    Snowbowling. No, this alley has nothing to do with snow, it is just a fancy name. Nevertheless it is a popular hangout spot and is located in a prime location. It's four-lane bowling alley also features two pool tables, a karaoke bar to sing along with, and a Qwicky's Coffee (a coffee chain). They are open from 11am-Midnight.

Tips & Warnings
  • Many people bowl without shoes, although shoes are provided. Either choice you choose, make sure you bring your own socks.
  • If you go after work hours or on the weekends, you are likely to have a wait time, as these are popular places. Wait times can be anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour.
