1
Prepare the bowl. Coat the inside of a metal mixing bowl with oil, and set aside.
-
2
Prepare the yeast. Mix the yeast, water, and sugar in a large mixing bowl.

-
3
Make the dough. Slowly add the flour 1/2 cup at a time to the yeast mixture. Add the salt and sesame seeds and knead for at 10 to 15 minutes by hand. Dough will become firm and have a stretchy consistency.

Let the dough rise. Shape the dough into a ball and place in oiled bowl. Cover with a dishcloth, and let rise in a warm area for 45 minutes until dough doubles in size.
-
5
Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

6
Prepare baking sheet. Lightly oil a 12x15 baking sheet and set aside.
-
7
Separate dough into eight equal-sized pieces. Roll each one out onto the baking sheet to resemble large strips.
-
8
Create holes in the dough. Lightly puncture the surface of the dough 1/2" apart.
-

Tips & Warnings
The dough can be mixed in a bread machine to save on time.
Use an electric mixer at the slowest speed during the beginning stages instead of kneading by hand.
The dough cooks very quickly; do not bake for longer than 8 minutes or the bread will burn.
