As you explore and enjoy the World Showcase at Epcot, you'll find dozens of interesting restaurants and exciting venues to enjoy a meal. From Paris to Tokyo, you'll be whisked away to international territory and can sample a variety of dishes. Still, there are plenty of choices when you want a healthy and lighter meal during your visit. Here's how to eat healthy at the World Showcase at Epcot.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Epcot admission
  • Good walking shoes
  • A strong appetite
  • Money for meals
  • Dinner reservations
  1. Step 1

Enjoy a healthy buffet at the Biergarten. The all-you-can-eat buffet in Germany features many high-fat items, but you can pick from mixed greens, a tomato and beet salad, salmon, braised cabbage, and chicken soup from the buffet line.

  2. Step 2

Choose the sauteed tiger shrimp at Bistro de Paris. It's made with tandoori spices, fennel and micro greens and is a healthy appetizer you'll never forget!

  3. Step 3

Order the ensalada Mexicana without the shell at Cantina de San Angel. You can still enjoy some of the local flavors when visiting Mexico! Just order your salad that's made with grilled chicken, onion, peppers, and black refried beans for a filling meal.

  4. Step 4

Enjoy the salade de chèvre chaud at Chefs de France. Head here for dinner and order this salad made with baked goat cheese, fresh grapes, walnuts, tomatoes and endive lettuce.

  5. Step 5

Pick up a fruit smoothie at Espresso Coffee and Pastries. It's located near the showplace between UK and Canada and also between the entrance to the World Showcase and Mexico.

  6. Step 6

Order the seared salmon salad at Le Cellier Steakhouse. When you're visiting Canada, enjoy a seafood salad made with fresh greens, pears, and basmati rice.

  7. Step 7

Enjoy the stir-fry seasonal vegetables dish at Nine Dragons. It's a mix of Shanghai bok choy, broccoli, tomato wedges, squash and water chestnuts.

  8. Step 8

Order the tofu salad at Tokyo Dining. It's a simple, healthy choice that can be topped with ginger, sesame or Oriental dressing.

  9. Step 9

Choose the penne caprese at Tutto Italia. It's a simple dish made with fresh tomatoes, penne pasta, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil.

  10. Step 10

Order ginger cake from Yakitori House. This slighlty sweet cake is perfect for dessert, and a healthier choice than ice cream or sugary baked goods. It's topped with a light, ginger-flavored icing.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make dinner reservations at your preferred restaurant. This will save you time when dinner time rolls around the park is full.
  • Order dressing on the side so you can control how much you are using for your salad
  • Most restaurants can serve entrées with a side of steamed veggies; just ask!
  • Avoid eating too much at one meal or you'll be too tired to explore.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast to keep hunger at bay throughout your trip.
