Pick a size of tree next, usually one to two feet lower then the ceiling height in the house where the tree will stand is a good pointer.

Once you have all the steps in place, be sure an choose a tree that have wound leaves, rather then spines. The leaves are nicer and last much longer then the type that are held in place with string or thread.
