Back in the days before daiquiris got bastardized into the giant sugary ice-filled monstrosities they are today, they were simple drinks made with simple ingredients and served straight up in cocktail glasses. This is an old-school daiquiri that just so happens to be pink-colored.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 ounces light rum
  • 2 dashes grenadine
  • Juice from half a lime
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Cocktail shaker and strainer
  • Chilled cocktail glass
  • Ice
  1. Step 1

    Add ice to your cocktail shaker, along with the following:

    2 ounces light rum

  3. Step 3

    Juice from half a lime

  4. Step 4

    2 dashes grenadine

  5. Step 5

    1 tablespoon powdered sugar

  6. Step 6

    Mix that up nicely with a good 6 to 10 count shake of your cocktail shaker, and then strain into your chilled cocktail glass. Admire the pinkish hues briefly before sipping it down.

Tips & Warnings
  • There should be NO ice in your cocktail glass.
