Named after one of the world's fiercest surf breaks, the pipeline cocktail is actually really smooth and not at all brutal. In fact, this drink resembles a peaceful day out on the lake, drifting on a pontoon boat, more so than a day getting pummeled in the surf.

From Quick Guide: Cocktail 101
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 ounces light rum
  • 1/4 ounce apricot brandy
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Cocktail shaker and strainer
  • Chilled cocktail glass
  • Ice
  1. Step 1

Add ice to your cocktail shaker, along with the following:

  2. Step 2

    1 1/2 ounces light rum

  4. Step 4

    3/4 ounce lemon juice

  5. Step 5

    1/2 tablespoon powdered sugar

  6. Step 6
