The Google toolbar adds more functions to your Google searches.

With the Google toolbar, you can perform a Google search from any Web page, and search for terms within a page quickly. Through the toolbar, you can unite all of your bookmarks from different computers and Web browsers and easily forward links to friends. You can customize the Google toolbar, adding buttons for Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps. The Google toolbar is available for Internet Explorer and Firefox.

      Navigate to the Google Toolbar page at google.com/toolbar.

      Click on "Accept and Download." On Internet Explorer, the Toolbar downloads and installs.

      On Firefox, click "Save File" to download the Google toolbar. Click on the downloaded toolbar file to install it. Restart Firefox.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Google toolbar enables you to search for RSS feeds, make Gmail your default Email client as well as let you search through Google Earth.
