Teleconferences are a good way to get your information out to many people at once. You can also share work updates when your employees live in different cities or states. You do need to know who attended the teleconference especially if you are going to pay them or if the teleconference is mandatory. Here are two ways to effectively take roll during your teleconference.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Invite all of your participants to the teleconference by sending an email with the phone number and pin number. Advertise the date and time of the teleconference in the same email.
Step2
Decide which method you want to use to take roll. Or decide on the combination method to find out who attended.
Step3
Hear the beep letting you know someone joined the teleconference. Ask the person to announce themselves and check off their name on your roll sheet. This method can sometimes be difficult due to many people joining at once.
Step4
Begin the teleconference by taking roll. Call out everyone's name, one at a time, and check them off on your roll sheet when they answer.
Step5
Combine these methods by having the person say their name as they enter the conference and checking the name off the roll sheet. After everyone has joined the teleconference, call out the remaining names in case you missed anyone.
Step6
Check roll again at the end of the teleconference in case someone joined late. Mark these people separately so you can find out when they attended and what they missed.
