Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Determine where you're going to place the mirror by first thinking about its use. You might want a mirror for primarily practical reasons, such as checking your appearance before you step out the door. Wall mirrors can also give the illusion of a larger space or can reflect more color back into a room.
Step2
Know how much weight the wall can bear. If you're not sure, determine what your wall is made of and whether or not you'll be hanging your mirror on a stud. Talk to representatives at a store specializing in mirrors to help determine how heavy your mirror can be, and how to hang it safely.
Step3
Measure the wall space so you know how large your mirror can be. Also decide upon your preferred dimensions for your mirror. If you can't find a mirror of the dimensions you prefer, you can have one custom cut for you at a glass shop for an additional cost.
Step4
Decide whether you want a framed mirror or an unframed mirror. A framed mirror can be hung on a wall in the same way as framed artwork, while an unframed mirror generally has to be hung with clips. Both can make a dramatic statement.

Step6
Add sconces and plants around the mirror as an additional touch.
