How to Go on an Anti-Candida Diet
Candida is a natural yeast that exists in the human body. However, problems can arise if candida grows beyond its normal range and begins to affect other microorganisms in our body. Thrush and athlete's foot are just a couple common ailments resulting from an overgrowth of candida. To combat this problem, you may need to go on an anti-candida diet that includes restricting yeast-based foods.

1
Use a colon cleanser to eliminate all toxins from the intestines. Toxicity in the colon is a leading cause of candida. Cleanse your colon before starting on an anti-candida diet.
-
2
Avoid sugar in all its forms, including fruits. This includes fructose, lactose and sucrose. Sugar can even be found in some canned and frozen vegetables. Learn to read food labels and find out what foods contain sugar.

-
3
Stay away from all foods containing yeast. This includes breads and foods coated in breadcrumbs. Some vitamins, too, contain yeast. Look for vitamins that specifically indicate they are yeast-free.
-
4
Eliminate any types of food that feeds candida. Avoid high starch foods like potatoes and corn as well as simple carbohydrates such as processed foods and sugars.
-
5
Cut out milk products, malted products, fruit juice, dried fruits and cured or smoked products while on an anti-candida diet.
-
6
Include fish, fresh vegetables, yogurt, rice cakes, eggs, oats and brown rice in an anti-candida diet.
