Life Teen started as a youth group in a church in Mesa, Arizona. It's now the Catholic Church's most prolific youth ministry. About 120,000 teenagers attend a Life Teen Mass every Sunday. The organization has close to 1,100 programs in 20 countries around the globe.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check out Life Teens website. It contains information about mass readings, reflections and the group's history (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Add your church as a member by going to the website's contact page. There, you can click on New Parishes and then email your request.

  3. Step 3

Find your local area contact online. On the contact page, there's a list of everyone, along with pictures. They are divided by the region they cover. Contact yours with questions about joining.

  4. Step 4

Use the Life Teen Parish Ministries to offer your church resources, support and training. There is an area coordinator and regional director who come in and train priests, youth ministers, music ministers and parents in the Life Teen model of youth ministry. This way, everyone in your church shares the same vision.

  5. Step 5

Camp with Life Teen. There are week-long camps located in Georgia, Arizona and Missouri. It's an opportunity for middle-schoolers and high-schoolers to experience Christ in a new way. There are challenges to build community and outdoor adventures.

  6. Step 6

Go high tech to spread the word of God. Life Teens Evangelization and Media division uses videos and the Internet to reach teens, youth ministers and parents.

  7. Step 7

Join the Life Teen forum. This gives teenagers a chance to talk with other Life Teen members.
