1
Look for dresses and shoes in the retro clothing stores. Modesty was mainstream in the 1930s and 1940s, and the clothes are considered very trendy these days. Your demeanor, even on the dance floor, will mimic your clothes and the style you carry for the evening.

2
Ask your parents, or another adult, to teach you some classic dance steps. Wear the shoes you plan to wear to the prom when you take your lessons. Engage your date in attending the lessons with you so the two of you can make a real splash at the party with your classic - and modest - dance moves.

3
Opt out of the dances that call for more extravagant dance moves, such as some hip-hop or rap music might. A young man or woman can always claim fatigue and the need to sit out a dance or two.
-
4
Seek out your friends who also avoid seductive or immodest dancing and support each other. Make sure that you have lots of fun with the dance moves that you do, showing the other kids how great a time you can have without being immodest.
-
5
Keep your shoes on. Barefoot dancing makes it easier to slip into some immodest dancing. With the constraints of your shoes, you'll find it easier to stick to your convictions.
