How to Wear Cargo Shorts

1. Buy a pair that fits right. The cargo shorts should rest at your hips. If you wear them too high, it'll look like you don't have a waist.

2. Check to see that they end a few inches above your knee. If they're too long, the shorts will make you look shorter.

3. Match up the cargo shorts with a form-fitting t-shirt or tank top. Pick a color that compliments the shorts.

4. Add a belt or sash to make your outfit complete. The belt can be worn through the loops or on the outside of a longer shirt. Choose a leather or metallic tank. If wearing a sash, tie it to the side.

5. Add wedge heel sandals for a classy look. This will dress up the outfit and keep it from looking too casual.

6. Pair men's cargo shorts with a comfy grunge t-shirt for a casual look. To class it up a bit, wear a golf shirt or even a poplin button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up.
