1
Make a list of everything that you need to do. Listing the items insures that they are in front of you and helps you to avoid procrastination.
-
2
Prioritize the list so that you place the most important on the top. Put a mark by the items that can be done anytime.
-
-
3
Single out the items that can be done a little at a time. If you want to use time efficiently, you should have a few items that can be done when stuck in traffic or during commercials if you watch television.
-
4
Complete the daily must do items. This may sound like a task, but if you really analyze the list, some of the items do not belong in the must do category. Getting supper is necessary, washing the windows can wait.
-
5
Command your time. If someone else wants to eat it up with idle gossip, excuse yourself from the conversation. Gossip seldom helps anyone, anyway.
-
6
Organize the tasks according to geographical area. If the butcher is next to the cleaners, you should put the two next to each other. Saving steps also saves gas. Make certain that if you're going to the grocery you have a list. Keep the list on the refrigerator to add to when necessary.
-
7
Check the list at the end of the day and write the one for the next day. Move items up to the top that were not accomplished and have a deadline. You will be able to use time efficiently when you realize the tasks that need to be accomplished.
