Find a room that is at least 20 feet wide when you design your racquetball court. The room should be 40 feet long. The room should have walls that are a minimum of 12 feet high.

    • 2

Create lines that are 1 1/2 inches wide. The first line should be mid court and be parallel with the front and back. Make certain that the back edge of the 1 1/2 inch line is 20 feet from the back. Measure 5 feet forward and mark the a line that is the service line front edge. The space in between is the service section.

    • 3

Design service boxes for your racquetball court. These are necessary in doubles play. They are at both ends of the service zone. The lines should be parallel to the side walls. Measure out 18 inches from the side wall and that will be the edge of the line's side that is closest to the center.

    • 4

Draw a drive serve lines on both sides. The zone it creates is parallel to the walls on the side. The drive serve zone is within the service zone. Find an area that is 3 feet from the side wall and the inner court section of the line is there.

    • 5

Draw a broken line for the receiving line and make it parallel with the short line. Make the back side of the line is exactly five feet from the back side of the line for the short line. Start the line with a 21 inch line from both side walls. Leave six inches blank and draw another six inch line. Continue this until you reach the other 21 inch line on the other side. You will end up with 16 spaces and 17 lines between the two outside 21 inch lines.

    • 6

Add the safety zone and you are done. This will be a 5 foot by 10 foot area that is between the back of the short line and the receiving line.
