  • Drying rack or film canister lids

Place a drop of glitter paint anywhere you like on the egg. Press a jewel into the paint, so that the excess pushes out from under the jewel. You can use as much glitter paint as you like, as long as it enough hold down the jewel.

  2. Step 2

Decorate the egg with as many jewels as you like. You can place the jewels close together and cover the entire egg, or space them out and fill in the gaps with spiral or scallop designs using glitter paint.

  3. Step 3

Use white liquid glue to add a ribbon to the top of the egg, or any additional details you may like your finished jeweled Easter egg to have.

  4. Step 4

Allow the jeweled eggs to dry completely on a drying rack or on film canister lids. Enjoy and admire your work.

Tips & Warnings
  • Decorate one side of the egg at a time, allowing the first side to dry completely before turning to decorate the opposite side.
  • If you want your jeweled Easter eggs to last a bit longer, poke a hole on each end of a raw egg with a straight pin. Gently blow the egg white and yolk into a bowl and allow the shell to dry completely before decorating. Be careful, as the egg is much more fragile when hollow.
  • Don't stop with just jewels. Try adding pretty beads, sequins or tiny mirrors.
