Use your empty juice cartons to make bird feeders. Melt suet or old kitchen fat in a saucepan and stir in enough birdseed to hold the ingredients together. Place the warm birdseed inside of an clean empty juice carton and place a heavy loop of string into the top of the mixture. Allow the birdseed to dry thoroughly, peel away the carton and hang the feeder in a tree.

Create unique candles with an empty juice carton, simply cut off the top of a juice carton and clean and dry thoroughly. Coat the bottom of the carton with a layer of petroleum jelly, and anchor a candle taper to the bottom of the carton with drop of wax. Hole the wick and pour melted wax into the carton, to create a beautiful square candle. You can make layered colors by allowing each color to dry before adding the next or decorate your candle with dried flowers or glitter.

Cut out both the top and bottom of an empty juice carton and use it as a collar around your vegetables to protect them from damage and frost. You can also use cartons in your garden by cutting out the bottoms and using them to start plants from seeds.

Step 4
Make composting easier with an empty juice carton. Pull the pour spout and top of the carton apart carefully so that you might easily place food scraps inside. Close the lid up again and hold with a clothes pin to prevent insects and odors. When full, add the scraps to your compost and recycle the carton.

Step 5
Fertilize your plants with a clean empty juice carton. Place your mixture of water and fertilizer in a clean empty juice bottle, close the lid or hold the spout tightly with you hand and shake. Easily fertilize and water both indoor and outdoor plants with the carton's pour spout. If you don't use all of the fertilizer, seal or close the spout and save for next time.
