Things You'll Need:
- 3 by 5 inch index card (or heavy paper cut to size)
- Craft supplies (glue, felt, yarn)
- Black felt pen
-
Step 1
Place the index card so that the long edges are at the sides and the short edges are at the top and bottom. Fold a top corner down until the the top edge is even with the side edge and make a crease. Open the card, repeat the fold with the opposite corner, and open the card again. You should now have an "X" in the top of the index card.
-
Step 2
Fold the top of the index card away from you to create a horizontal crease through the "X." Fold the top of the index card in on itself by pushing in gently along the horizontal crease. Press the fold so that the top of the index card forms a triangle.
-
Step 3
Take the loose bottom corners of the triangle and fold them so that the tips touch the top tip of the triangle. Fold the long outer edges of the origami Easter bunny to the middle of the index card. Fold the bottom edge up to the tip of the triangle. Hold the crease, or the new bottom edge, and fold just the first top layer down to the edge, making another crease.
-
Step 4
Pull the paper gently lengthwise to extend the bunny's hind legs. Relax the creases holding the corners of the triangle to create the bunny's front legs.
-
Step 5
Glue eyes, felt or paper ears or whiskers to your origami bunny. Use a felt pin to draw a nose and paws. Make your bunny hop by tapping the hind legs.
