1
Remove the shells from your colored Easter eggs and break them into small flat pieces. Keep the colors separated by placing them in various small bowls or cupcake tins.
-
2
Draw the outline of any design you choose on a piece of black construction paper or poster board. A pencil will work fine, but a white colored pencil will help you see the outline more easily. Keep your design as simple as possible.

Apply a thin layer of glue to a small part of your design using a cotton swab or a small paintbrush. Apply the various colors of Easter egg shells to the appropriate portions of the design to create a colorful mosaic. Repeat until your design is complete.

Cover the entire design with a light even layer of glue when complete. Allow the mosaic to dry completely.

5
Add any decorative touches you like to the finished Easter egg mosaic. You might add a ribbon border or glitter to liven up the piece.

Tips & Warnings
Any color of construction paper or poster board will work; however, the pastel colors of Easter eggs really "pop" when placed on a black background.
