Instructions

    • 1

Make stands for your finished chick eggs from small pieces of construction paper. Cut a 1/4 inch by 6 inch strip and glue the ends together to make a ring. Add any decorations you may like.

    • 2

Break a hole in the top of a raw egg and place the white and yolk in a bowl. Gently chip away the shell, leaving a half shell that will be used as the base of your cotton ball chicks. Rinse the shell and allow it to dry thoroughly.

    • 3

Glue a cotton ball or large yellow pom pom into the bottom of the half shell. You can add two small cotton balls or pom poms to the sides of the larger pom pom to make fluffy chick wings.

    • 4

Cut out a triangle from a piece of orange felt, craft foam or construction paper and carefully glue it to the center of the cotton ball or pom pom. Add wiggle eyes and any other creative touches you like. You might add another small piece of shell to the top of the chick's head, or a small pink bow.

Place your chick-filled eggs around your house, or gather a few chicks in an Easter basket for an adorable kitchen table center piece.
