Use Color Wonder Finger Paints

The mere thought of finger-painting can strike fear in the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a lot of fun for the kids, but it can be a mess to clean up. Fortunately, there's a product to take the mess out of finger-painting, though. Crayola has a line of products that only work on their special paper. Using the Color Wonder finger-painting kit, you can have the art without the mess. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

    • 1

Prepare your work area. While the Crayola Color Wonder finger paints are colorless, they can still stain certain surfaces if precautions aren't taken. Cover your work surface with a sheet, towel or tablecloth to prevent getting the clear paint on your furniture. Dress your child in a smock or old t-shirt in case the paints come in contact with her clothing.

    • 2

Lay out your Color Wonder paper. It comes in large and regular size sheets, in plain or coloring book styles. Lay out a few pieces for your child to paint on.

    • 3

Show your child how to use the Color Wonder finger paints. Dip your finger into the clear paint and show your child how the color appears on the paper. Then help him get a bit on his fingers to paint on the paper. In the beginning, watch him closely to make sure that he isn't putting the paint in his mouth or rubbing it on furniture.

    • 4

Clean up. Once you're done finger painting, wash your child's hands thoroughly with soap and water to remove any Color Wonder paint residue.
