Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Apply the ideas and values of Taoism to your everyday life. Find an inner peace by embracing Taoism. Make a spiritual connection to the natural world and to others around you. Be at harmony with your life and everything and everyone around you.
Step2
Read the Tao Te Ching, a classic Chinese text on wisdom. This text reflects the ideals of Taoism and is fundamental in the study of this ancient philosophy.
Step3
Study books about Taoism beyond the Tao Te Ching. The writings of Chuang Tzu, a Tao sage, are very popular, as is "The Way of Chuang Tzu" by Thomas Morton.
Step4
Join a Taoist group. This can help lead you more efficiently into the philosophy than by simply entering Taoism on your own. You can more quickly embrace the ideals of Taoism with the support and guidance of a Taoist group.
Step5
Meditate. Take time daily to reflect on a spiritual level. Relax and embrace an inner peace you can find by rejecting non-Taoist ideas such as the existence of a supreme being and that living means sinning.
