It's easy to make scented rocks look like authentic rocks; color them, sculpt them or just decorate them for room accents and you'll impress friends and family with your artistic ability.

    • ½ cup flour
    • ½ cup salt
    • 1/4 tsp. essential oil
    • 2/3 cup boiling water
    • Food coloring
    • Mixing bowl
    • Mixing spoon or fork
    • Measuring cup

        Mix the flour and salt into a bowl.

        Pour the boiling water and essential oil into the dry ingredients.

        Separate the mixture into sections if you want to make different colored rocks.

        Add the food coloring one drop at a time for colored scented rocks. Keep adding the drops until you have reached the shade of color you want to have.

        Blend the food color into the mixture using a mixing spoon, fork or your hands. Make sure to wear plastic gloves if you are mixing the dough by hand.

        Use small amounts of the dough and form them into different sizes and shapes to make them look like rocks.

    • For faster drying, keep the scented rocks under a fan.
