As with many nostalgia games, Xbox 360 has revived the old arcade classic Dig Dug, allowing those who remember the original version to have fun with a new Xbox version. As the protagonist character, "Dig Dug" (the original name was Taizo Hori), you're going after underground creepy crawlers any way you can, and tunneling for veggies to rack up points. It's a simple game that hasn't lost its appeal over the ages, and Xbox gamers as well as fans of the original will be entertained.

1
Use rocks. One way to get rid of Dig Dug's enemies is by expert tunneling; to drop a rock on a pooka or fygar (the creatures coming after you), you'll have to wait until they are headed your way, then dislodge a rock by tunneling under it at just the right moment.
-
2
Use your bicycle pump. Dig Dug is armed with a kind of hydraulic air pump that the character can throw in the direction of an enemy. Then, (in a strangely sadistic display), he pumps air into the pookas and fygars until they actually burst.
-
3
Be careful letting them out. The numerous predators are initially trapped underground, but eventually, Dig Dug is forced to free them to attain the next level. The key is to have an escape route planned when you cut into a pooka or fygar lair, so that you can backpedal to avoid getting caught.
-
4
Watch out for "google eyes". Another feature of these underground villains is their ability to "ghost-float" through the soil. Keep an eye on the sets of rising eyes and stay out of their way to avoid a brush with death.
-
5
Collect veggies and flowers. At certain points in the game, plants show up in part of Dig Dug's tunnel: grabbing these will earn you major points and get you toward that high score.
