There are many reminder services and a lot of them are free. Of course, you can pay for one, but why would you want to. You can use your phone or the internet to remind yourself of birthdays, anniversaries and other important events that are happening in your life. The following will help you learn to use a reminder service.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Set up the calendar in your phone to ring on important dates. You can even make a note to confirm why it is ringing. You can set alarms to recur annually, monthly, weekly or even daily. Most people use this to remind themselves of birthdays and anniversaries of their loved ones.
Step2
Use the alarm clock on your phone to wake you. You may not think of this as a reminder service but it is. Don't overlook the value of this option that your phone provides.
Step3
Send yourself an email. There are many reminder services on the Internet that you can use to send yourself an email as a reminder. They work for birthdays, anniversaries and other important events that you have to attend. There are some listed in the resource section.
Step4
Put in the important events in your life. You need to type in the information that you need to be reminded about. You also want to make it a recurring appointment if that is what is needed.
Step5
Let your friends and family know the dates that are important. Set up your reminder software to send emails to them so nobody forgets anything any more.
Step6
Download software that is specifically for reminders. There are free ones and you will be able to set it up and never forget anything again. It can be something as simple as a birthday or as important as paying your bills on time, but everything can be made into a reminder so you are prepared for everything.
Step7
Accept the phone calls that you have set up to remind yourself of an appointment. Reminder services come in a variety of forms--take advantage of all the resources you have to make remembering easier.
Step8
Find software that you already have--such as Microsoft Outlook--to make reminders at work. Put in all your meetings and deadlines so that you don't miss anything important and you will impress your bosses or supervisors with your impressive memory.
