Have you always wanted a pet lizard? Just decided how cool it would be to own a lizard but do not want to buy one? Now you can catch the lizard you want and raise it as your pet. The following steps will tell how to catch your prized lizard.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look around your home and find a lizard that you would like to have as your pet.

  2. Step 2

Purchase a 10-gallon aquarium. This will be used to catch the lizard and house the pet a well.

  3. Step 3

Research the lizard you intend to catch as thoroughly as possible. Once you have caught him, you will need to transform the aquarium into an environment that is much like what the lizard is used to. The Internet, pet stores and book stores will have information regarding the environment, food and care for the pet lizard you will soon have.

  4. Step 4

Create a lizard trap for the one you want to have as your pet. This is very easy to do. Use the 10-gallon aquarium you bought and place it near where you see the lizard the most. Turn the aquarium on its side and place several meal worms in the aquarium. Lizards love meal worms and will definitely fall for this trap. Keep a close eye on the aquarium and when the lizard enters the trap, turn the aquarium up right and you have captured your pet.

  5. Step 5

Place the lizard into another large, clear box or aquarium while you are creating a suitable environment for the lizard. Do this as quickly as you can. Put the lizard into its new home and enjoy your new pet.
