Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Choose a spot to camp. You should choose a state or national park in your area. Unless you have previously discussed the arrangements with the members of your camping group, you may have a miserable time if any of them were expecting plumbing or electricity. If you decide not to camp at a state or national park make sure you do not camp on private property unless you get permission from the owner.
Step2
Bring people that will enjoy the experience. If you bring someone that cannot stay away from the television or computer for very long, you and this individual will have an awful time. If you bring people that enjoy the outdoors and do not mind missing out on the everyday amenities of life, you are sure to have a great time.
Step3
Pack the right tools for the trip. Make sure you have food, shelter, water, and fire, as well as a basic first aid kit. It is better to be overly prepared than not prepared at all. If you are going to be many miles from civilization, you should bring a small emergency radio and emergency flares.
Step4
Enjoy your time camping. A camping trip is not complete without roasted marshmallows and hot dogs. Make sure you bring enough for everyone and think of your best ghost story to tell while out by the fire.
