Adopting a lemur helps organizations like World Animal Foundation and Duke's Primate Center protect the animal and its natural habitat. While you don't actually get to take care of the lemur yourself, you do receive a photograph of the lemur you are helping through your adoption.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Visit Lemur Landing's website. Decide which level of adoption you want. Level One gives you a choice of adopting a Lesser Bushbaby, Loris, Bamboo Lemur or Mouse Lemur. You can look at pictures of the different types of lemur online at Duke's Primate Center. Level Five adoptions allow you to adopt a rare Aye-Aye Lemur.
Step2
Click the link for the level you have chosen. From the drop down menu, select the type of lemur you want to adopt. Enter the quantity and click "Add to Cart." Review the information provided and proceed with "Check Out."
Step3
Check out. You need to select your preference for shipping from the drop down menu. You then have the option of logging in if you a registered member, creating a new account or checking the box to continue as a guest. Once you have decided which option, select "Continue."
