Roman mythology isn't as well known as Greek mythology. However, we can learn a great deal about where our words come from, like the names of the planets, where phrases (such as Venus Goddess) come from and where those pictures and statues of gods and goddesses in various places come from. If you want to discover Roman mythology, there are many places to do that.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Go online. There are many websites devoted to Roman mythology and the Roman gods and goddesses. Websites such as UNRV History and the Encycolopedia Mythica are great places to discover Roman mythology. If you're looking for good websites for kids, try Cyber Sleuth Kids and Library ThinkQuest.
Step2
Find books. There are many great books about Roman mythology such as Roman Mythology by Evelyn Wolfson or Greek and Roman Mythology A to Z by Kathleen N. Daly and Marian Rengel. You can find these books at your local book store or on Amazon.
Step3
Attend lectures or take a class. Your local university or community college offers mythology classes. These classes may cover all forms of mythology or you may be able to find one specifically for Roman mythology. Speak with the instructor to see if you can audit their class or only attend a few lectures that interest you.
