Baked spaghetti is a different twist on traditional spaghetti and tomato sauce. It makes a wonderful, cheesy side dish that goes with just about anything.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 lb spaghetti
  • 4 qt water
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 to 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups fresh Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  1. Step 1

Cook spaghetti in the water according to package directions. Spaghetti should be slightly firm not overcooked.

  2. Step 2

Drain the spaghetti. Return the spaghetti to the same pot while the spaghetti is still hot.

  3. Step 3

Pour the melted butter over the spaghetti and stir to coat.

  4. Step 4

Place the buttered spaghetti in a casserole dish.

  5. Step 5

Beat the eggs in a small bowl. Add the cornstarch, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and Parmesan. Mix all ingredients together.

  6. Step 6

Pour the cheese sauce over the spaghetti. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 450 degrees.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you like, after the baked spaghetti is done, sprinkle the top with more Parmesan cheese.
  • Remember not to overcook the spaghetti. If you do, the dish will be sticky and soggy.
