Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb. block of extra-firm tofu
  • Sesame oil
  • Tamari
  • Orange juice
  • Nutritional yeast
  • Cookie sheet or large pan
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Oil the pan with a light coating of sesame oil. Slice the tofu into 10 to 12 slices. Place the tofu slices in rows in the pan.

  2. Step 2

Pour the one half cup of tamari over the tofu. Then add a quarter cup of orange juice. Sprinkle nutritional yeast over the top for a cheese-like flavor. You can also add pepper.

  3. Step 3

Place the pan in the oven and bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until the tofu is slightly crispy. Depending on the heat distribution in your oven, you may need to rotate the pan halfway through the baking process.

  4. Step 4

Serve with a light grain and a salad or cooked vegetables.
