1
Buy a variety of fruits and vegetables. You want a rainbow of color that includes greens, yellows, oranges and pinks. You can choose to make flowers that all look the same or you can make different flowers for a spring bouquet. Most of the time you use the fleshy part of the fruit, so pick your colors based on it rather than the skin.

2
Use edible flowers in your bouquet. There are many varieties of flowers that are edible. You can coat them with a light dusting of sugar or chocolate. Anise hyssop, apple blossoms, carnations, day lilies, hibiscus, lilacs and pansies are all edible flowers.

Cut out shapes. You can use cookie cutters in the shapes of flowers or cut the shapes out with a paring knife. Cut smaller circles for the center of the flowers and curvy shapes for the leaves. Try to use contrasting colors for the center of the flower.

4
Find a cute container. You need to have a container large enough to hold your edible flowers. To add to the Mother's Day theme, buy a mug or a container that says, "Happy Mother's Day," on it.

5
Assemble the fruit. Use skewers to hold the flower shapes together. You can stick the skewer into a Styrofoam block to keep the bouquet steady during transport.

6
Make a candy bouquet. Buy a flower pot, silk flowers, your mom's favorite candy and a bow. Arrange the candy and flowers in the flower pot. To finish the look, tie a bow around the flower pot.

Bake cookies for your mom. You can use a sugar cookie recipe and a flower shaped cookie cutter. Decorate the cookies using colored frosting. Put the flower cookies onto skewers and arrange in your favorite container.
