Hosting a Mother's Day brunch can show your mom how much you care. However, if your home is small or if your kitchen can't quite handle making a full brunch, you can host a Mother's Day brunch at a favorite restaurant.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Make a list of everyone you want to invite, and then call them to see if they can make it. For a surprise, don't tell the mother of honor what you're planning, but make sure she's free on Mother's Day.
Step2
Determine who is paying for the brunch. You may want to pick up the entire bill yourself, or you may opt for guests to pay their own way while you pick up the mother of honor's check. Deciding this before the brunch eases any awkwardness that may surface when it's time to pay.
Step3
Scope out a few different restaurants well before your brunch. Make sure they feature some of the mother of honor's favorite dishes, and make sure that they can comfortably hold your party. Also find out if they offer any Mother's Day specials. If children are invited, ensure that the restaurant is child-friendly. Some restaurants have private rooms you can rent for a more intimate gathering.
Step4
Make reservations for your Mother's Day brunch at the restaurant of your choice. Let the restaurant know how many are in your party and what time you'll arrive. If you make your reservations far enough in advance, the restaurant should be able to accommodate you. If not, call your second choice.
Step5
Let everyone know what time to be there. For a special touch, have the guests bring small floral arrangements and other decorations to set on the table. Have the mother of honor arrive after the other guests are there so they have enough time to make the table perfect.
Step6
Plan to linger at brunch, and don't schedule any other activities too soon after the meal. Brunch is a leisurely meal, and the guests can linger in conversation to enjoy the mother of honor's company.
