Step 1
Speak up. If you are still at the salon when you notice that you got a bad haircut let the stylist know. She is the one that gave you the bad haircut, let her fix it for you. If you have lost confidence in her, ask for another stylist to fix your hair. You might not be able to get the cut you wanted, but there probably is something they can do to help fix it.
-
Step 2
Curl your locks. Curling your hair can hide a multitude of sins. Give yourself time before the prom to play with some curly styles and see what works.
-
Step 3
Use styling gel or hair spray to hold your hair in place if the haircut isn't laying right. A good cut will hold the style without the help, but if your haircut turned out bad, sprays and gels might provide a fix.
-
Step 4
Cover it up. Obviously you can't wear a baseball cap to the prom, but depending on your outfit, a scarf, shawl or dressy hat might be the answer.
-
Step 5
Accessorize your hair. Make a stop at your favorite shop and look for some hair jewelry. If you can't fix a bad haircut, maybe some pretty hair clips, barrettes and hair jewelry can dress it up into a stylish hairdo.

on 1/25/2008 I like this article! I am a hairdresser for Television and let me tell you the number of 500.00 haircuts that come to me for re-do is staggering.!
I will add that if you have fine strait hair and you see your hairdresser coming at you with a RAZOR!, and she/he tells you it's the latest cut ...jump up and RUN! RUN out of that SHOP and go to another, because chances are the other stylist's will be on the side of the stylist who did your hair in the first place, and tell you "it's fine...it looks good" ...."REALLY" Would we lie"? you bet they will lie.!
Whoever in my opinion came up with the "RAZOR cut" was looking for a Gimmick. Unless you are a Punk Rocker or someone who wants raggedy, shabby hair at the ends, or thinks it looks artistic...you are fooling yourself. Razor cuts all grow out bad, and uneven.
