How to Wear a Trooper Hat

Most commonly associated with the cold climates of Canada, China and Russia, the trooper hat, until recently, was considered a fashion faux pas. Movie and television hits featuring the fuzzy trooper hat, such as "Fargo" and "Southpark," have created a fashion boom for this cold weather accessory. These versatile hats can be worn in a number of ways for both style and utility.

Instructions

1. Tie up your hat for a cool and fashionable look. Trooper hats are equipped with four weather-shielding flaps on the front, back and sides which can be tied at the top. To wear this hat in it's most compact version, simply flip up the flaps, tie the strings and go.

2. Shield your neck from the rain, sleet and snow by releasing the back flat. The custom design of the back flap of a trooper hat rests perfectly on top of your jacket, deflecting the cold, wet elements from soaking your back. Not only is the back flap utilitarian, the fuzzy fur feels great on the skin.

3. Cover your ears with your trooper hat's side flaps. If you feel your ears are taking a chill, simply untie the strings at the top of your hat and release the fuzzy flaps for ultimate ear warming.

4. Protect your face and eyes from the cold weather as well, be releasing the fourth and final flap of your versatile trooper hat. Tie the strings loosely to create a horizontal brim or release the strings completely to fully protect your face and eyes from the rain, sleet and snow.
