How to Return a Tux After Prom

You were styling on the big night and now the classy duds need to go back to the rental company. Even though you have a lot going on during Prom weekend, with the parties and all, you can't forget to bring it back by the due date. Consider it your end of the bargain.

Things You'll Need:

• Tuxedo coat
• Pants
• Shirt
• Bowtie
• Shoes
• Hangers
• Garment bag

1. Ask a parent in advance if they can return your tuxedo. This will ensure that it gets back on time.

2. Return your tuxedo the day after the prom. If you delay, you could be charged a late fee. If the prom is Saturday and the store is closed Sundays, then you can return it on Monday.

3. Make sure you have everything in the garment bag. When you return the tux, it should look the same way it did when you picked it up.

4. Hang up the coat, shirt, tie and pants. Cuff links should be on the cuff link card. Put the shoes in the bottom of the bag.

5. Get a replacement cost list if you lost anything. This will outline what you'll need to pay.

6. Have one person return several tuxedos. If you and all your friends got your tuxes from the same place, it makes more sense to do it this way to cut down on trips back and forth to the store.

• Keep track of your tux. Even if you change out of it at a friend's house, put all the pieces back so you don't end up paying for the lost items.
