When it's time for spring-cleaning, don't forget your face. In the spring, people clean out their closets, revamp their wardrobes and get a new, warm weather haircut. With all of this activity, your eyebrows can be overlooked. Get your eyebrows in tip-top shape for spring by getting an eyebrow makeover.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Consider how you want your brow shaped for spring. Talk with a professional and decide if you would like dramatic high arches or a more natural look for your spring eyebrow makeover.

  2. Step 2

Go to a professional. When your eyebrows have been neglected over the winter months, it is best to have them done by a professional to avoid over-grooming.

  3. Step 3

Decide to wax your eyebrows, which involves applying wax to the unwanted hair, applying the removal strip on top of the wax and pulling the strip off quickly. Eyebrow waxing can last anywhere from two to six weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows.

  4. Step 4

Simplify by tweezing. Use a tweezer to shape the eyebrow by removing unwanted hair.

  5. Step 5

Go with subtle changes. Having unnaturally high arches looks, well, unnatural. Subtly changing the shape of your eyebrows will give a more natural look for spring and summer.

  6. Step 6

Get a springtime eyebrow makeover with threading. Threading is an old process in which a skilled eyebrow threader removes your unwanted eyebrow hair by essentially wrapping a piece of thread around the hair (often done in "lines" as opposed to one at a time) and removes the hair at the tip.

Tips & Warnings
  • Notice your eyebrow shape as soon as you leave the salon so that you can maintain it by plucking a few stray hairs between appointments.
  • Never remove too much. Overdone brows will stick out horribly when you are out in the sun.
  • Choose threading if you have sensitive skin. Waxes and plucking tend to be harder on sensitive skin, often leaving red marks for days.
