How to Make Soap to Treat Acne
Acne is a skin problem that brings with it much embarrassment but that can be treated and cleared up to a large degree. The medicines that are prescribed by dermatologists are expensive. Many homemade remedies can be prepared much cheaper and are just as effective. This is a soap for acne that you can make yourself. Does this Spark an idea?

Select the herbs and essential oils that you desire to use in your soap. There are a number of these that help to heal acne. Select an astringent, such as tea tree oil, rosemary oil and sandalwood oil. Or select one or two oils with antibacterial and antiseptic properties, such as patchouli, lavender, eucalyptus, bergamot and clove.

Grate a bar of Ivory soap into shavings and place them in a small pan over low heat on the stove. Stir as the soap melts. When the soap has melted, add your essential oil and even some of the herb leaves if desired and stir until the mixture is mixed evenly. The total amount of oil that you should add is 20 to 30 drops combined.

Turn off the stove and remove the pan. Pour the soap mixture into a dish to cool

When the bar is cooled, slip it out of the dish and you have a bar of antibacterial soap for use on your acne.
