Things You'll Need:
- 4 x 6 envelope, white or pastel
- Pencil and eraser
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Glue
- Construction paper, pastel shades
- Red writing utensil
- Cotton balls or pom-poms
- Wiggle eyes, optional
- Easter grass, optional
-
Step 1
Choose an envelope and seal it shut. After it's sealed, turn the envelope so the 4 inch side is horizontal and the 6 inch side is vertical.
-
Step 2
Measure the placement for the bunny ears. Use the ruler and measure 2 1/2 inches up from the bottom of the envelope. Measure 1 1/2 inches from each side of the envelope and draw a vertical line from the top of the envelope to the horizontal line you drew.
-
Step 3
Draw the bunny ears. Start at the horizontal line and draw a bunny ear in each of the top sections. The outside curve of the bunny ear should touch the outside edge of the envelope. The inner curve of the ear should touch the vertical line you drew. Each ear should extend from the horizontal line to a point that touches the top of the envelope.
-
Step 4
Cut along the line you drew for the bunny ears. You need to cut through both layers of the envelope. Do not cut along the horizontal line. Use an eraser to gently erase the horizontal line. You should now be able to open the top of the bunny's head.
-
Step 5
Decorate the front of your bunny. You can cut a lining for your bunny's ears using construction paper in a complimenting color. You can glue circles cut from construction paper or wiggly eyes onto the front for the bunny's eyes. Center a cotton ball or pom-pom between the eyes and glue it in place. From the nose, draw two curved lines, using the red writing utensil, to form the mouth.
-
Step 6
Finish the project. Glue a cotton ball or a pom-pom in the center of the back of the envelope for a tail. Open the envelope and stuff it with Easter grass and goodies.
