Half-Life 2: The Orange Box is a collection of incredible games that come on one disk. In one box, the Orange Box, you get Half-Life 2, two bonus episodes of Half-Life 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2. If you are a first person shooter genre fan, you owe it to yourself to play Half-Life 2: The Orange Box on the Xbox 360.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pick your game. The most difficult part of the Orange Box may be choosing which game you want to play. If you have never played Half-Life 2, start with that so you can get familiar with the games. If you've played Half-Life 2, try out the bonus episodes or Portal. If you really want an online multiplayer experience, go for Team Fortress 2.

  2. Step 2

Play Half-Life 2. The controls for Half-Life 2 are typical for a first person shooter. The left analog stick makes you walk forward and backward and strafe sideways. The right analog stick lets you look up and down and turn. The right trigger is your main attack and the left trigger will use your secondary attack. The "X" button is how you pickup and use objects. The "Y" button activates your flashlight, the "B" button reloads your weapon and the "A" button jumps. Pressing the left analog stick will let you duck. Spend some time at the beginning of the game to get used to the controls.

  3. Step 3

Test your brain with Portal. Portal is a cerebral puzzle game that is less about combat and more about survival. You must utilize portals to pass each level. The controls are similar to Half-Life 2, but a little simplified. You will eventually have the ability to shoot both blue portals and red portals by using the right trigger and left trigger respectively. Use "A" to jump, "B" to duck and "X" to pickup and use objects.

  4. Step 4

Go online with Team Fortress 2. Don't think that Team Fortress 2 is a soft game because of its cartoonish style. Team Fortress 2 offers a rich multiplayer FPS experience. The controls are like Half-Life 2 again, but this time the "X" button can be used to taunt, the "Y" button displays the score, pressing the right analog stick will call for a medic and the "Back" button will let you change your class. Classes are a big part of Team Fortress 2, so pick a class you're good at and that will benefit your team. Some of the classes are sniper, medic, spy, pyro and demoman.
