You've always wanted to learn how to play the flute, but you never found the time. Today you can learn how to play an instrument while connected to the Internet. Follow these tips to learn the flute online.

    Visit a flute website like hobbies.expertvillage.com or 5min.com and watch a video for beginning flute players. Go to fluteland.com or 8notes.com for free sheet music and information.

  2. Step 2

    Learn how to hold the flute properly. Use the visual pictures shown on the websites. Hold the mouth section with your left hand and hold the body with your right hand.

  3. Step 3

    Find a chart for playing the notes and finger positions at fluteland.com. You can print out a chart to help you learn at home. Practice finger positions while learning new songs. Learn how you should position your fingers by looking at online diagrams. Pay attention to the precise location of each finger. Place your fingers on the holes and your thumbs underneath the flute.

    Read instructions on how to blow into the flute. The website instructions show you how to blow down and across while holding the flute properly. Practice by taking off the mouth section and blowing into it.
