How to Sell a Pet Lizard

If you have a pet lizard you'd like to sell, you'll find many buyers. But finding him a good home where he'll be safe and cared for is another challenge.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit a pet store. Many pet stores will "recycle" pets. You can often sell a rare breed or a fully socialized lizard through the store.

    • 2

Place an ad in the newspaper, preferably one that focuses on animal issues. In your ad, include a full description of your lizard and your price. You also can sell it on a site devoted to animals, such as PetSell, or you can try Craigslist.

    • 3

Contact a reptile rescue organization. Reptile rescues may take your lizard or people who will adopt your pet. You won't make any money, but your lizard will receive good care.
