It is the age of the internet, and with gas prices higher than ever, many of us use the internet for holiday shopping.
Here are a few tips on how to save every last penny online!
Decide what you are going to purchase. Research the products on a couple of different store websites to check prices. You could even search an item on amazon.com, or yahoo.com and you will be given different sources for purchasing an item.
Step2
Once you have decided where the best deal is, Google the site with the phrase "coupon", "coupon code", or "promotional code". For example, if you are shopping at Old Navy.com, you would enter "Old Navy Coupon Code". You will then get listings on where to find special promotional codes to use during check out at a particular vendor. Many are for free shipping, but you could get as much as 30 - 50% off your order just by entering one word! It makes a huge difference...it's like free money!
Step3
Join a website like Upromise.com. When you use this site, you select a vendor right on their webpage, and when shopping through their link, a certain percentage goes into your Upromise account to be rolled over into an education IRA for your children, grandchildren, or other family member. In addition, Upromise gives codes for each vendor to get free shipping or shopping discounts.
