Impersonate a Celebrity

Whether you want to be the next star of "Saturday Night Live" or just the life of the party, celebrity impressions are always a hit. Here's how to get your repertoire started.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose someone not too overdone. Steer clear of Cher, Jay Leno, Liza Minnelli, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Christopher Walken and George W. Bush.

  2. Step 2

Research popular people that are recognizable characters but that people aren't sick of. For example, Tyra Banks, James Gandolfini or John Goodman. Don't choose anyone too obscure or too generic.

  3. Step 3

Study Youtube clips, movies, interviews and TV shows that your celebrity appeared in.

  4. Step 4

Figure out their patterns of speech, accent and pace of voice.

  5. Step 5

Find a quirk that makes your celebrity unique, e.g., Eddie Murphy's laugh or Woody Allen's shrug.

  6. Step 6

Discover their physicality, like the way they walk.

  7. Step 7

    Practice! Practice! Practice!
