Go-karting has become a popular past-time in Chennai, India.

Step 1

Located near to the heart of the city, Kart Beat is located on Arcot Road. It boasts of a 200m indoor track with challenging tight turns. Step 2

Another place, located near to Kart Beat, on the East Coast Road, is located within the entertain multiplex, Mayajaal. If you are with a group which has varied interests, this is the ideal place to go to as they have bowling lanes, video game arcades, and a movie cineplex. Go to: Mayajaal

Step 3

Before the East Coast Road, there is a toll booth. It will cost 45 rupees for a round-trip ticket. You will have to go through the toll booth to access both of these go-karting venues.

Tips & Warnings

If you have your own helmet, it is advisable to bring this. Helmets are provided and in most of these places, protective coverings that look like surgeon's hats are also provided.
If the kart stalls on the track, wait patiently for someone to come and restart it. They will come quickly, as employees are posted along the track in the event that this does happen.
Often the engines on the go karts are exposed; so just be careful in entering and exiting the karts that your skin does not come into contact with the engine.
