Step 1
Even though he has never told you what he wants for Christmas, rest assured he wants something. Discovering the what is up to you. To do this make a list of his interest and develop gift ideas from there.

Snoop around his house. Take notice of things he doesn't have and the type of things that he does. If he's a reader, focus around books. If he works outside, get over to the hardware store. This shouldn't be that hard; after all, it is likely you lived with him for a number of years.

If your mother is a source use her. She can provide numerous ideas, but be careful because she might offer things she wants him to have.

Keep on asking. No matter how many times he utters nothing, keep on asking. Eventually you will wear him down and he will provide a few options.

The one thing you need to remember is he might not want anything. If your dad is old school, his only wish for Christmas might be having his family all together one more time. Keep in mind this is something he will never admit. So, make sure that at the least you provide some Christmas moments for your father.
